ABOUT THE PARISH COUNCIL

Cholmondeston & Wettenhall Parish Council comprises 6 Councillors elected to represent the interests of residents. Unlike Cheshire East, the Parish Council does not have a legal duty to deliver services.

However, Parish Councillors play a vital part in representing the interests of the community and work to improve the quality of life and the local environment. Through the Parish Council, they can influence other decision makers (e.g. Town & Country Planning) and can deliver specific services to meet local needs.

Parish Council meetings generally take place once per quarter. You are encouraged to come to meetings and get involved. Before each meeting there is an opportunity for residents to raise matters of concern or comment on the business listed On the agenda.

Agendas and minutes appear On the following pages and are displayed in the notice board immediately before and after monthly meetings. All current financial expenditure is detailed within the Minutes of meetings; other financial documents are also available under Finances.
